In the middle of the trip the hotel decided they needed more ocean view rooms so they upgraded us to a suite and a bottle of champaigne for our troubles.

 

We spent some time at the Maui Ocean Center. A wonderful aquarium in the harbour town.

One of the highlights of the trip was the whales. This time of year is high season for the humpback migration and the following are a mix of shots from our whale watching trip and from our lanai! They were that close that we saw more from shore than from sea.

 

Finally on arriving back in LA we were able to confirm that it was who we thought it was laughing at us while we were waiting for the flight home in Maui.

or as Karri said... "I grew up watching you with my mom." But she has since realized she missed her chance to yell out....
